On 7 May 2018, EuroCham Pharma & Medtech Working Group together with AmCham Indonesia Pharmaceutical & Lifesciences committee, US-ASEAN Business Council, and International Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Group (IPMG) held a follow up meeting with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, to submit the proposal of inputs regarding the implementing regulation of Article 20 of the Patent Law for Pharmaceuticals. The input was well received and will be subject for consideration toward the draft in development. Currently the draft has been submitted to the Minister for signing and approval.

EuroCham met Mr Robert Leonard Marbun (Director of International Customs and Inter-Agency) on 30 April 2018, to discuss the policy on import duty imposition under FTA. The policy, as formulated under Minister of Finance Regulation No. 229/PMK.04/2017 on Procedures for the Imposition of Import Duty under International Agreement or Treaty Frameworks. The assessment focuses on the evaluation of deadline for submission of COO and procedures of to get the preferential tariffs in case of transit and transshipment.
