New Deputies for Transport and Logistics Working Group
Following the election of Mr. Yigit Saricinar (Cluster Airfreight Director – South East Asia, GEODIS Singapore Pte Ltd) as the head of the Transport and Logistics Working Group, the group on 23 May 2018 also elected the following persons who have now accepted the position:
- Deputy Head for Investment, Tax and Finance Mr. Sugyanto Halim, DB Schenker.
- Deputy Head for Customs and Excise Mr. Jop Patinggi, A.Hartrodt.
- Deputy Head for Transport and Logistics Regulations Ms. Ivon Dethan, DB Schenker.
Group activities discussed during this meeting including joint advocacy with ALFI and other international chambers on Cargo Manifest Regulation. Also discussed were regulations on Import Duty Preferential Tariff, Bonded Logistics Center, usage of national shipping lines and insurance, and cross border protection for copyright and trademark.
The Executive Office of the President Invited EuroCham
On 17 May 2018, EuroCham attended an invitation by the Executive Office of the President to discuss joint inputs submitted on Minister of Finance Regulation No. 158/2017 on Inward and Outward Cargo Manifest Regulation with ALFI, KoCham, JJC, US-ABC, AmCham, and IBC.
During the meeting, the Executive Office of the President represented by Mr. Bimo Wijayanto (Senior Advisor – Department of Analysis and Oversight of Strategic Issues on Social, Cultural, and Ecological Affairs) and Mr. Agung Krisdiyanto (former Head of Intelligence Section III, DG Customs). In addition to the Cargo Manifest Regulation, both EuroCham and ALFI briefly raised issues surrounding the implementation of the Minister of Finance Regulation No. 229/PMK.04/2017 on Import Duty under FTAs.
