The South Jakarta Administration and Indonesian Navy Collaborates with ISS Indonesia on Mass Vaccination

The South Jakarta Administration and the Indonesian Marine Corps collaborated with ISS Indonesia to carry out a mass vaccination targetting 7,500 people from the Greater Jakarta area, which includes ISS Indonesia’s employees and their families. ISS Indonesia facilitated the event in cooperation with the Sentra Vaksinasi Serviam as the vaccinator, and in coordination with the Jakarta Health Agency.

The collaboration is an example of ISS Indonesia’s contribution, together with the South Jakarta Administration and the Indonesian Navy in response to the current surge in positive COVID-19 cases. The vaccination drive was expected to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19 and accelerate herd immunity in such a way that the pandemic can be ended soon.

Unilever Supports the Operations of Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory COVID-19 Emergency Hospital through Hygiene Products Donation

On 9 July 2021, PT Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. donates 22.837 pieces of hand sanitizers worth over IDR 100 million to the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory Covid-19 Emergency Hospital, a recently opened facility which provides 900 beds, 50 ICU rooms, and 40 HCU rooms for COVID-19 patients to anticipate the surge and spread of COVID-19 in Jakarta and its surroundings. As COVID-19 cases surge, Unilever Indonesia has committed to distributing products with to the local governments, NGO partners, and various health facilities, targeting 60.000 beneficiaries throughout May – July 2021.

Hernie Raharja, Director of Foods and Refreshments of PT Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. stated “We believe that a continuous support and partnership with multiple stakeholders have a critical role to help curb the recent wave of the pandemic and to get out of this crisis. We are supporting the government’s effort in providing vaccination centres and additional health facilities to anticipate the surge of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia.”

The company is grateful to be able to continue to play its role in supporting the multitude of efforts of the Indonesian government, which this time focuses on supporting the health and nutrition of healthcare frontliners and patients in various health facilities as well as the government’s vaccination program. Our latest efforts include the elderly vaccination support in Serang which targeted 3.000 beneficiaries and our hand sanitizers donation to the Surabaya City Government as part of COVID-19 handling acceleration, targeting 5.000 beneficiaries. Our latest efforts include the elderly vaccination support in Serang which targeted 3.000 beneficiaries, hygiene products donation to the Surabaya City Government and Jakarta’s Environmental Agency as part of the cities’ COVID-19 handling acceleration, targeting 10.000 beneficiaries. Additionally, we encourage our third parties and their family members, as well as the communities surrounding our office to participate in the government’s vaccination program to expedite the government’s target in reaching herd immunity.

This support substantiates the #MariBerbagiPeran spirit that the company has carried since the beginning of the pandemic and is a continuation of #UnileverUntukIndonesia's contribution where since 2020, assistance worth over Rp. 200 billion has been distributed to the community in various forms including sanitation products, ICU ventilators, PPE, PCR test kits, food packages, N95 masks, and hand washing facilities
