With over 18 years of insurance experience across Asia and in The Netherlands, Joos Louwerier brings a proven track record in building brands, driving value, and delivering customer-first priorities. Prior to becoming Country Manager and CEO of Allianz Life Indonesia in 2017, Joos led the successful digital transformation company as CEO of Allianz Life Korea. Prior to Allianz he held various senior positions with ING in Asia and Europe, in the areas of operations, risk management, bancassurance, and marketing. In his current role, he aimed to bring insurance inclusiveness and more accessible to Indonesians through advanced products and services. EuroCham Insurance Members met the Director General of Tax on Tax Treatment for Insurance Sector

As a part of advocacy effort to jointly address the taxation issue in the life insurance sector, few representatives from member companies met the Director General of Taxation, Robert Pakpahan, on 28 January 2019. During the meeting the Director General was accompanied by Yunirwansyah as the Director of Taxation Regulations II. The meeting discusses further the technicality of tax treatment aspects for the life insurance sector, in particular related to reserves approval process and accounting entries. As an outcome of the meeting, the Directorate General of Tax agreed to formulate a written guideline for the implementation on the implementation of MoF Regulation No. 81/PMK.03/2009 to avoid misinterpretation by Tax Officers in the field.
