On November 2nd, EuroCham was invited by Schneider Electrics to attend the Schneider Innovation Summit 2022 at the Hotel Mulia, Jakarta. With the theme of, “Innovation for Sustainable Indonesia,” the Innovation Summit Jakarta 2022 is part of the Innovation Summit World Tour 2022. At the event, Schneider Electric called for enthusiasm to overcome three crises – energy, economy, and climate – faced by governments, businesses, and consumers in around the world, and define approaches and solutions on how to achieve sustainability goals.

In its two days, the Jakarta Innovation Summit discussed steps to address global climate challenges and provided insights to customers, partners, regulators, and policy makers on ways to reduce emissions quickly to decarbonize the economy.

EuroCham is delighted to be virtually invited to the Mandiri Sustainability Forum 2022: “Industry for Tomorrow” on November 2. This forum is aimed at sharing insights and best practices between investors, businesses, and other relevant stakeholders and receive information on the recent trends pertaining to ESG both at the global and national levels. This forum is also intended to increase awareness of ESG among business leaders and policy makers alike.

The forum commenced with opening remarks and keynote speeches from Darmawan Junaidi (President Director of Bank Mandiri), Destry Damayanti (Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia), I Gede Nyoman Yetna (Head of Listing Division of the Indonesia Stock Exchange), and many others. EuroCham’s Excutive Board Member, Francois de Maricourt (President Director of HSBC Indonesia) was invited to be a speaker in this forum and delivered HSBC Indonesia’s climate ambitions, namely, to becoming a net zero bank, supporting clients in the transition, and unlocking climate solutions.
