Regal spring: Invitation to Discussion Forum Indonesia Tilapia Blue Food in Celebration of National Fish Day
On the 28th of November, EuroCham was honored to be invited to the Indonesia Tilapia Blue Food in Celebration of National Fish Day forum by Regal Spring, an esteemed member of EuroCham.
The event was commemorated with opening remarks from Rudolf Hoeffelman (President Director), Erwin Dwiyana (Director of Marketing at the Directorate General Product Competitiveness Enhancement for Marina and Fisheries Products, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries).
In collaboration with the US Soybean Export Council (USSEC), Regal Spring held a discussion on “Tilapia: A source of Protein for Food and Security and the Global Market,” which aims to raise awareness on the importance of fish as high-quality protein source that plays a vital role in ensuring national food security and supporting global markets. The forum brought together various stakeholders including the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries and the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) to foster synergy in strengthening the tilapia’s role in the global food system.

Indonesia Privacy & Security Forum 2024
EuroCham had the privilege of participating in the Indonesia Privacy and Security Summit (IPSS) 2024, organized by the Indonesian Employers' Association (APINDO) on 25 November. The summit, themed "Navigating Personal Data Protection: Implementing the Personal Data Protection Act (UU PDP) and Cybersecurity in Indonesia," brought together government leaders, digital industry players, and technology solution providers.
The forum aimed to foster an exchange of ideas and best practices from the business community to address future challenges in the digital era, particularly regarding personal data protection. It also marked the enactment of the Personal Data Protection Act (UU PDP) in October this year.
The event was officially opened online by the Vice Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria. Distinguished attendees included the Chairman of Indonesia’s National Economic Council, the Presidential Special Advisor on Digitalization and Government Technology, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and the Head of the National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN), Hinsa Siburian.
In a keynote video presentation, Vice Minister Nezar Patria highlighted Indonesia's significant progress in the digital era with the introduction of the UU PDP, emphasizing its role in providing stronger certainty and protection for businesses and the public in personal data management.
