Bangun Bangsa Conference 2024 “Solidarity in Action: Accelerating Decarbonisation Across Asia Pacific”

On October 25, Bangun Bangsa 2024 and the Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD) hosted the Bangun Bangsa Conference 2024, focusing on Solidarity in Action: Accelerating Decarbonisation Across Asia Pacific. The conference brought together experts from the public and private sectors to share strategies and collaborate on a low-carbon future for Southeast Asia.
Impactful discussions covered key topics including the public-private alliance in energy transition, overcoming roadblocks in decarbonization, financing climate initiatives, the role of nature-based solutions, and strategies for strengthening collaboration across sectors and regions. Experts shared innovative approaches to accelerating sustainable practices, explored policy frameworks that support decarbonization, and highlighted the importance of aligning business operations with climate goals.

United Nations Global Compact Pioneering Progress Through Mindset Transformation for SDGs

On the 24th of November, EuroCham was invited to a discussion event titled: Pioneering Progress Through Mindset Transformation for SDGs. The event was organized by the UN Global Compact Network Indonesia (IGCN), together with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (an esteemed Platinum member of EuroCham).
The event featured opening remarks from Josephine Satyono (Executive Director of IGCN) with a keynote speech from Neha Das (Head of the Asia and Oceania Region of the UN Global Compact) and Pungkas Bahjuri Ali from the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas. The event also featured video remarks from Dr. Martha Tilaar (Founder & Chairwoman of the Martha Tilaar Group).
The event then held a panel discussion on the best sustainability practices that was featured by Lucia Karina (Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability Director of CCEP and SDG Pioneer 2024), Noke Kiroyan (Chairman of Kiroyan and Partners), and Imam B. Prasodjo (Sociologist at the University of Indonesia). The panel discussion was moderated by Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics & Business at the Gajah Mada University).
