CSR & Sustainable Development Member Forum Meeting: Presidential Regulations on the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals
On Tuesday, 24 October 2017 the CSR and Sustainable Development Member Forum met with Development Aid. Mr. Sergiu Casu, Director of Business Development of Development Aid delivered some valuable information to the members, such as successful tips for tendering in international-donor funded project and so forth.
EuroCham also provided update on the issued Presidential Regulations on the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals. Members of the meeting shared their perspectives and identified some important details of this recently issued regulation. The meeting identified some irregularities between this regulation and other regulations issued by technical ministries. To address these issues, the member forum will coordinate and collaborate with other working groups to identify topics and formulate joint events.
Property Quarterly Update: Regulations on Infrastructure and Natural Resources
On 19 October 2017, Property Member Forum held Quarterly Property Business Networking at JLL office. This time, the event shared the property market update of the third quarter of 2017. Information on the development of demand and occupancy on several sectors such as CBD and non-CBD offices, condominiums, and retails space) was conveyed. Furthermore, the forum also communicated new information on the property for logistics sector. One of the updates was that currently East Jakarta becomes one of the favorite areas where logistic industries want to locate their factories, which might be the affected by the labor wages, locations (close to harbor, airport), among others.
Aside from the update shared by JLL, the event also invited Mr. Thomas W. Shreve from PT. Numada to give short overview on current conditions in infrastructure and natural resources sector in Indonesia. Mr. Shreve further explained on Government of Indonesia plans to attract more investor in the infrastructure and natural resources by simplifying some of regulations related to the those sectors.
