On May 5, EuroCham Indonesia proudly partnered in the EU–Indonesia Tech Event, organized by the Digital for Development (D4D) Hub and the EU Delegation to Indonesia. The event brought together key stakeholders to explore opportunities for scaling European investment in Indonesia’s fast-growing digital economy. Discussions highlighted Indonesia’s rising position as a leading digital hub in Southeast Asia, with a focus on strengthening connectivity, data infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks to support sustainable digital growth. Panel discussions featured esteemed EuroCham members Siemens, Nokia, Ericsson, and Thales, showcasing European expertise, investment, and technology in driving digital transformation.

The event also convened high-level policymakers from the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, DG CONNECT of the European Commission, and the Ministry of National Development Planning, underscoring the importance of strategic collaboration under the Global Gateway strategy and the Indonesia-EU CEPA framework.

On May 4, EuroCham Indonesia supported the SSEK Law Firm Event on Indonesia’s Risk-Based Licensing Framework (OSS): Bridging Interpretation and Real-World Application, held at SSEK Law Firm, which brought together stakeholders for an in-depth discussion on bridging regulatory interpretation and real-world application.

The session featured Dr. Riyatno from BKPM as a key speaker, who provided valuable insights into the implementation of BKPM Regulation No. 5 of 2025 and its practical impact on investment structuring, licensing, and compliance. The discussion, led by Aldilla Stephanie Suwana (Partner at SSEK Law Firm), also covered key topics such as environmental licensing requirements, KBLI classifications, and OSS verification processes.
