Event Reports

On the 19th of September, EuroCham was graciously invited to the farewell ceremony of Dr. Hanne Larsen, Minister Counsellor for Food and Agriculture of the Embassy of Denmark and the introduction of her successor, Hans Ebbengard Murillo. The event was held at the Danish Residence and hosted by the Ambassador of Denmark to Indonesia, H.E. Sten Frimodt Nielsen.

On behalf of EuroCham, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Larsen for her incredible work in strengthening the ties between Indonesia and Denmark during her tenure. We also wish her successor, Mr. Ebbengard Murillo, the very best of luck, and we look forward to collaborating with him in the future.

On 19th September, the Market Access Working Group held its meeting at the EuroCham office. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Working Group, Rachmat Hidayat (Government Relations Director at Danone), and attended by the Deputy Heads of the Working Group, Ratna Dewi (President Director at a. hartrodt Indonesia) and Botir Rakhimov (Head of Country Sales at Rhenus Logistics), and members of the Working Group.

The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss recent policy updates including the potential relocation of import entry points, halal certification, standardization, as well as VAT for overseas freight.
