On Thursday, 21 September, the EuroCham Chemical Working Group met with Putu Nadi Astuti, Director of the Upstream Chemical Industry, Directorate General of the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Textile Industry, at the Ministry of Industry (Kementerian Perindustrian Republik Indonesia).

The discussion was commenced by Ibu Putu and opened by Edison Bako, Executive Director of EuroCham. The Chemical Working Group was led by the Head of Working Group, Erike Yanidia (Regulatory Management & Trade Compliance Manager at Merck Chemicals and Life Sciences) and Deputy Head, Haqiki Aplesiasfika (EH&S Product Regulatory Specialist at Dow Chemicals), and attended by members.

The meeting discussed current developments on the implementation of Mandatory SNI under Ministry of Industry Regulation No. 45 of 2022, particularly its implementation on Plastic Raw Materials

EuroCham visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 20 September to attend the briefing for the upcoming Indonesia-Europe Business Forum, which is held in conjunction with the Trade Expo Indonesia. The IEBF seeks to enhance connections, promote trade and investment from Europe to Indonesia, highlight business prospects in Indonesia, and foster business-to-business cooperation and partnerships between Indonesian and European Enterprises.
