On Monday, 31 July 2023, EuroCham qas attended a webinar organized by TMF Group Indonesia on BIK Treatment, Implementation and Management Post MOF 66 2023. Alvin Christian, CPA, FCPA (Aust.), Regional Head of Delivery - Asia Pacific and Treasurer of EuroCham Indonesia delivered his remarks to open the event. Muhammad Fauzi Irawan, Country Head - Indonesia TMF Group provides a snapshot of the summary of newly issued regulation on BIK and potential impact towards companies. To further elaborate the topic, Ari Wahyuni, Manager HR & Payroll Services - Indonesia and Analia Yuni. Saputra, Assistant Manager HR & Payroll - Indonesia provides a thorough explanation of the regulation and what it means for businesses. The event was successful and very beneficial for our members.

EuroCham Indonesia was pleased to participate in the EU-ASEAN Business Council Mission Trip 2023 that commenced on July 31. On this date, EuroCham was honored to convene and discuss with the Minister of Trade, H.E. Zulkifli Hasan, at the Ministry of Trade Republic of Indonesia Office. In this meeting, EuroCham was led by its Chairman, Francois de Maricourt (President Director at HSBC Indonesia).

In this discussion, the Minister encouraged collaboration between the government and business actors to strengthen trade ties by expediting the I-EU CEPA. Discussed other trade policies, such as export and import, e-commerce, international trade, and prospective support needed from the business sector.
