GPQI Workshop on The Global Production Language

On 16 March 2022, EuroCham attended a workshop on the Global Production Language organized by the Global Project Quality Infrastructure (GPQI).  This workshop is part of the activities under the German-Indonesian Dialogue on Quality Infrastructure, signed on 25 August 2021 by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Indonesian Ministry of Industry (MoI).  The workshop started with an overview of the current situation in Indonesia and Germany presented by the respective ministries – BMWK and MoI.  VDMA and the OPC Foundation then elaborated on the importance of a Global Production Language for the communication of machines and the successful implementation of industry 4.0.  The session continued on with the sharing of experiences from businesses in Indonesia.

Webinar on EV Adoption – Best Way Forward in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam

On 9 March 2022, EuroCham Singapore held a webinar on EV Adoption – Best Way Forward in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.  The meeting was led by Dr. Cecilia Tortajada (Adjunct Senior Research Fellow with Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy - National University of Singapore) and also a Professor in practice on environmental innovation at the University of Glasgow.  The webinar was opened by Pierre Brochet (Head of the Automotive Sector Committee at EUROCHAM Malaysia).  The panellist in this webinar were Abhijit Sengupta (Director and Head of Business, India, SAARC Region & Southeast Asia of HERE Technologies), David Lantz (Sustainability Manager of Scania Southeast Malaysia), Laurent GENET (EuroCham Mobility Sector Committee chairman), and Ma. Alicia Carla G. Buencamino (Global Business Development Director of Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc).  Although EuroCham Indonesia did not send a contributor/panellist to the event, EuroCham actively co-promoted the event which was organized as an initiative among the EBO WWN (European Business Organization World Wide Network) ASEAN Chapter that EuroCham Indonesia is part of.
