EuroCham attended a Public Hearing organized by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Ministry of Finance of Indonesia.  The event was opened by Anita Iskandar (Director of International Cooperation of Customs and Excise) to discuss the Procedures for Submission of Certificate of Origin and the Draft Regulation of the Minister of Finance that will amend the current Regulation No. 131/PMK.04/2020.  These are intended to provide legal certainty and service facilitation for imported goods related to the use of the Free Trade Agreements.  Moreover, such draft regulation is based on the need to accommodate provisions regarding Post Importation Claims that emerged in several negotiations involving Indonesia, including the Indonesia-EU CEPA negotiations.

On 16 March 2022, EuroCham met with SwissCham Indonesia to discuss the upcoming Sustainability Awards 4.0.  The meeting was chaired by Christophe Piganiol (SwissCham Board of Management and President Director of PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari), and Pierre Batu (Founder of SELAVI).  As presented in the meeting, the aim of the project is to support collaboration on sustainable development in Indonesia by identifying and assisting high-impact projects on sustainability.  The categories are specific to Access to Clean Water, Plastic Reduction and Recycling, and Women in Sustainability.
