Socialization of BPOM Regulation on Supervision of traditional medicines, quasi drugs, health supplements, and cosmetics

EuroCham Cosmetic Working Group was invited to a socialization event held by the National Agency of Food and Drug Control (BPOM), which discussed Regulation No.19 of 2021 on the supervision of traditional medicines, quasi drugs, health supplements, and cosmetics. The online event was held on 12 October 2021 and highlighted that the renewal of past regulations is to increase effectiveness of monitoring of the promotion and distribution of health and cosmetic products, as well as averting any side effects to consumers. It also discussed guidelines to ensure products meet a certain standard, distribution and product management in accordance with the regulations, as well as transparency during settlements.

The event was opened by Dra. Reri Indriani, Apt, M.Si (Deputy for Supervision of Traditional Medicine, Health Supplement, and Cosmetic), alongside other speakers, Drh. Rachmi Setyorini, MKM (Director of Standardization of Traditional Medicine, Health Supplement, and Cosmetic), Irwan, S.Si, APT, MKM (Director of Supervision of Traditional Medicine, Health Supplement, and Cosmetic), and Drs. Arustiyono, Apt, MPH (Director of Supervision of Cosmetic).

Socialization of Head of BPOM Regulation on Guidelines for Public Service of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplement, and Cosmetics

On 8 October 2021, the National Agency of Food and Drug Control (BPOM) invited the EuroCham Cosmetic Working Group member companies to attend a socialization of the Head of BPOM Regulation No. HK.02.01.1.2.06.21.233 of 2021 on Guidelines for Public Service of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements and Cosmetics During the 2019 Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) Pandemic.

The Directorate of Standardization of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplement, and Cosmetics organized this socialization to disseminate information about the regulation to optimize its implementation. With this socialization, it is hoped that businesses can increase its knowledge and understanding related to the implementation of Public Services of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements and Cosmetics During the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Pandemic.
