On October 10th, EuroCham had the pleasure of attending the SSEK Breakfast Briefing discussing Expatriate Manpower & Immigration Perspectives. The session provided key important updates on topics such as new regulations regarding Indonesian co-laborers for expatriates, the Golden Visa program, and visa requirements for business meetings in Indonesia. Additionally, there was an insightful discussion on enforcement trends, general guidelines on hiring expatriates, and foreign worker permits.

The event featured an insightful discussion moderated by Stephen Igor Warokka (Partner at SSEK Law Firm) with key contributions from Ali Chaidar Zamani (Aide-de-Camp to the Minister at the Ministry of Manpower) and Ade Widhia Sathria (Government Employee at the Directorate General of Immigration).

On the 10th of October, EuroCham was proudly invited to attend the 3rd Halal-20 (H20) Opening Ceremony and Conference. The annual event is held by the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH)) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia). The event was attended by domestic and foreign Halal Product Guarantee (JPH) stakeholders with the theme ‘Halal Traceability in the Global Supply Chain: Technology Innovations'.

The opening ceremony was opened by Muhammad Aqil Irham (Chairman of BPJPH) and Yaqut Cholil Qoumas (Minister of Religious Affairs). It is then followed by the MRA signing of 52 overseas halal institutions.

The opening ceremony succeeded an International Conference on Halal Traceability featuring speakers from IPB University, LBB International, Haqq Dubai, and AHDAA Australia. This is then followed by a Halal Seminar on Regulation Update from the BPJPH.
