Asian Power Utility Forum 2018
The 2018 Asian Power Utility Forum in Jakarta brought together an overwhelming number of the industry's key power utility executives in Indonesia on 20 March 2018. Together with thought leaders from the top consulting firms, they discussed in-depth insights on some of the most pertinent issues faced by the energy sector today such as the era of battery storage and Indonesia's demand dilemma.
Speaking on behalf of Eurocham Energy Working Group was Miroslav Dijakovic, Deputy for Renewable Energy, who brought up the business opportunity for Solar PV rooftop in Indonesia with more B2B approach. Miroslav later join the panel discussion to discuss Indonesia's demand dilemma, along with Jaya Wahono, founder and CEO Clean Power Indonesia; Bret Mattes, Director Numada; and Andi Asmir, VP Government Relations Energi Nusantara Merah Putih.
Energy Working Group FDG to Formulate Joint Recommendation
Following the discussion with President‘s Special Envoy for climate change as well as the issuance of Energy Position Paper 2018, EuroCham Energy Working Group was encouraged to have further discussion with other stake holders in order to find joint positions to maximize the impact.
Responding to the suggestion, EuroCham Energy Working Group invite the relevant stakeholders for a group discussion on the formulation of joint position and explore the possibility of a stronger joint position for low hanging fruit and streamlined advocacy on March 19, 2018.
Led by EuroCham Energy Working Group, the meeting was attended by Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), Indonesia Renewable Energy Society (METI), Asian Development Bank (ADB), DANIDA, GIZ, Umbra Law, and President‘s Special Envoy for climate change.
