The restructured Import-Export and Transport & Logistics Working Group leaders convened virtually on January 26. This meeting was attended by the Head of the Working Group, Rachmat Hidayat (Government Relations Director of Danone); Deputy Heads of the Working Group, Botir Rakhimov (Head of Country Sales of Rhenus Logistics) and Ratna Dewi (President Director of a. hartrodt Indonesia) the leaders agreed to name this group as the ‘Market Access Working Group’ with elected leaders to occupy deputy heads positions in each sub-working group. The secretariat also raised latest concerns that might be impacted by the members.

On January 26, EuroCham Indonesia was invited to a meeting with Bapak Budi Santoso, Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Trade (Kementerian Perdagangan Republik Indonesia)

The meeting was a joint advocacy effort with AmCham Indonesia, the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Indonesia, the Jakarta Japan Club, BritCham Indonesia, and the US-ASEAN Business Council Indonesia. EuroCham was represented by Riva Dwitya Akhmad from the Cosmetics Sub-Working Group (part of the FMCG Working Group), Erike Yanidia as Head of the Chemical Working Group and Daniel Kandou from EuroCham’s Advocacy team.

We sincerely thank Pak Budi and the team from DG Foreign Trade for taking the time to engage in a constructive discussion with business actors on the current development of the government's preparation towards the implementation of Ministry of Trade Regulation No. 36 of 2023 in the coming 10 March. We appreciate the DG for taking into account our concerns and recommendations.
