Workshop on “Collaboration to Enhance Drinking Water and Sanitation Facilities in Indonesia”

EuroCham was pleased to collaborate with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat/PUPR), Water.org, and Indonesia Water Coalition, which held a workshop on “Collaboration to Enhance Drinking Water and Sanitation Facilities in Indonesia”, at JS Luwansa Hotel & Convention Center on 24 July.

The workshop aims to share the best practices and initiatives from the private sector as well as exposing the achievement of access and facilities for drinking water and sanitation in Indonesia.

The event was commenced with opening remarks by Riono Suprapto as Secretary of Directorate General of Housing from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, and was followed by speakers: Dades Prinandes, ST.MSI (Head Technical Planning Sub-Directorate, Directorate of Drinking Water, and Directorate General of Housing Ministry of PUPR), Dino V. Prayoga (Associate Director of Development from Konservasi Alam Nusantara), Edison Bako (Executive Director of EuroCham), and Rachmad Hidayat (water.org).

The workshop provided insightful discussion with the attendees on their programs and commitments towards SDG 6 about Clean Water and Sanitation, which is vital to preventing the spread of disease and to the health of families in our community.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Workshop: Impacts of the EUDR and Diplomacy Strategy for Sustainable Commodities in Facing Trade-Restrictive Measures of Export Destination Countries

On 24 July, EuroCham virtually participated in the EUDR Workshop, held by the Directorate General of Multilateral Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss Indonesia's stance regarding trends in trade policies in export destination countries that link environmental protection to impact on international trade.

The workshop attended by various speakers from different stakeholders, including the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Statistics Indonesia, Ministry of Trade, IPB University, and UGM.
