GPQI: Workshop on Quality Infrastructure for Electromobility in Indonesia and Germany
On the 5th of September, EuroCham was invited to attend the Workshop on Quality Infrastructure for Electromobility organized by the Ministry of Industry and GPQI. The workshop is organized under the framework of the Indonesian-German Bilateral Dialogue on Quality Infrastructure that entered its fourth year of implementation.
The event commenced with opening remarks from Dr. Sri Bimo Pratomo (Head of the Center for Formulation, Application, and Enforcement of
Industrial Standardization (P4SI), Ministry of Industry), Celine Becker (Head of Country Component Indonesia GPQI) and Jens Brinckmann (German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK)).
The event featured speakers both from the Indonesia and Germany side. With speakers from BMWK, German Institute for Standardization (DIN), National Accreditation Body of the Federal Republic of Germany (DAkkS), Indonesia Ministry of Industry, National Standardisation Agency of Indonesia (BSN), and the Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC).

IISF - HSBC Roundtable Discussion: Keeping Up with International Green Demands - Risk & Opportunities
On the 5th of September, EuroCham was honored to be invited to the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (IISF) - HSBC Roundtable Dialogue on Keeping Up with International Green Demands - Risk & Opportunities, facilitated by World Resources Institute Indonesia.
The discussion highlighted the upcoming opportunities and challenges for Indonesia’s supply chain transition, specifically in preparing for the international standards such as EUDR, exploring strategies for private sector decarbonization initiatives and emerging low-carbon strategies, and driving transformation in Indonesia’s key commodity sectors.
The event was commenced by opening remarks from Francois de Maricourt (President Director of HSBC Indonesia), along with an introduction on the EUDR Joint Task force by Dida Gardera, S.T., M.SC (Deputy of Food and Agribusiness Coordination for the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs). This was then followed by a panel discussion by Sander Happaerts (Green Counselor at the EU Delegation), Dindin Wahyudin (Expert Staff in the field of Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and Ellis Savva (Regional Senior Manager Sustainable Finance at HSBC Asia-Pacific).
