On October 17th, EuroCham Indonesia attended the Indonesia-Europe Business Forum and was honored to witness the opening ceremony from Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, H.E Pahala Mansury and the Acting Chairman of KADIN, Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi. This business forum is intended to support the event series of Trade Expo Indonesia by the Ministry of Trade.

From more than 60 business matchmaking, IEBF has resulted in potential transactions of over 2.9 million US Dollars with signed agreements of over 72 million US Dollars. Trade transactions throughout 2023 were recorded to reach 6.67 billion US Dollars with investments worth 8.08 billion US Dollars. A Memorandum of Understanding for various sectors such as infrastructure, health, agro-industry, tourism, and agriculture was also established.

On October 17th, 2023, the EuroCham Human Resources (HR) Working Group had its regular meeting in the EuroCham Office. This meeting was led by the Head of the Working Group, Miguel Latorre (Managing Director of VISTRA Indonesia & Malaysia and Head of Commercial Corporates of Southeast Asia), and the Deputy Heads, Rakhman Sapta Ferdinansyah (Associate Director of HR & Payroll Services at TMF Group), and Sylviawati Tanuwikarta (Human Resources Manager at Siemens Indonesia).

The members discussed the latest policy updates and EuroCham’s advocacy work on personal data protection. Also in this opportunity, Miguel Latorre, as the Head of the Working Group, retired from his position and will embark on a new path from EuroCham and his personal career. EuroCham would like to thank him for his leadership and contribution throughout this time. EuroCham also would like to congratulate Rakhman Sapta Ferdinansyah for being the new Head of the HR Working Group.
