Socialization of BPOM Regulation No. 7 of 2023 on Quasi Drug Registration Criteria and Procedures

EuroCham attended the socialization of BPOM Regulation Number 7 of 2023 concerning Criteria and Procedures for Quasi Drug Registration which was held on June 6. This socialization was opened by Acting Deputy for Supervision of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements and Cosmetics, Mohamad Kashuri and also attended by expert speakers; Prof. Rahmana Emran Kartasasmita ITB Professor, and Dr.rer.nat. Yosi Bayu Murti from UGM.

In his remarks, Mr. Mohamad Kashuri stated that this regulation was a new regulation and was the first time it had been promulgated for a quasi-drug commodity, and was important to answer challenges in the midst of intense market competition and at the same time provide protection to the public in using products that are guaranteed safety, quality and efficacy.

Participants participated in this event consisting of business actors and associations in the field of health supplements (APSKI, GP Jamu, GP Pharmacy, GAPOTA, PERKOSMI, PPAK, AFFI, APK2I, APKII, GP Koskemindo), BPOM officers throughout Indonesia, Relevant ministries/institutions, professional associations, and the community.

European Business Organization Worldwide Network (EBOWWN) Meeting in Brussels

From June 19 to 21, EuroCham Indonesia had the exceptional chance to participate in European Business Organization Worldwide Network (EBOWWN) meetings in Brussels, Belgium.

EuroCham Indonesia, represented by Muhammad Firman Eko Putra, met with a number of senior European Commission officials in addition to internal sessions to discuss best practices and lessons gained with EBO throughout the world.

EuroCham Indonesia engaged in an insightful dialogue on important topics related to both opportunities and challenges in the current global environment, the green transition, the technological transition, including the EU Global Gateway plan, and sustainability. During the sessions, EuroCham Indonesia had the opportunity to convey several key priorities for Indonesia including: sustainability agenda, commitment to green and technology transition, and the conclusion of Indonesia-EU CEPA negotiations.
