EuroCham attended an E-READI and EU-ABC Side Event themed “The European Green Deal: Perspectives for Businesses to disseminate and discuss, from a business perspective, the EU’s Green Deal package, which includes the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), EU Regulation on Deforestation and Forest Degradation, Circular Economic Action Plan. This topic was addressed by Astrid Schomaker, Director for Global Sustainable Development at the European Commission.

The event was opened by Bernandino Vega, Vice Chair of International Relations at KADIN. The panel discussion involved distinguished speakers Björn Brunnhöfer (Head of Strategy & Regional Development / Asia Pacific at Evonik), Gerald T. (CEO at Agridence Singapore), Dharsono Hartono (Legacy Lead ASEAN Net Zero Hub and Carbon Center of Excellence) and Anne Patricia Sutanto (Policy Manager of ASEAN-BAC Trade Facilitation).

On Wednesday, 2nd of August, EuroCham Retail Working Group held its first offline meeting at the EuroCham office.

The meeting was attended by several esteemed members: Devi KUSUMANINGTYAS of Nike, Cahyani Endahayu and Kristi Tomasouw of HHP Law Firm, Suryamin Halim of H&M, Renata Suyono of Decathlon Indonesia, Wulansari Dewi and Nyoman Ayu Yulia Sari of Adidas. At the meeting, the members finally elected Bapak Suryamin Halim as the Head of the Retail Working Group to collaborate with Ibu Muliani Wiabdi as the Deputy of the Working Group. As the leader is completed, it is hoped that the working group can have many activities in the future.
