On 30 April, EuroCham was pleased to welcome representatives from the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for a discussion on EuroCham’s ongoing priorities. The World Bank delegation was led by Mr. David Knight, Lead Country Economist, alongside Mr. Mohamad Pasha, Economist, and Mr. Amerta Mardjono, Senior Country Officer at IFC.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the current state of foreign investment in Indonesia, as well as broader economic developments and opportunities for growth.

EuroCham Indonesia participated in the Indonesian Telecommunication Forum on 29 April, themed “From Connectivity to Intelligence: How 5G and AI Can Accelerate Indonesia’s Digital Economy.”

The seminar explored the strategic role of synergy between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 5G networks in accelerating Indonesia’s national digital transformation. It also served as a platform for dialogue among regulators, telecommunications operators, global technology providers, and industry stakeholders to foster a sustainable and inclusive digital ecosystem.

The event brought together key stakeholders from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs, leading telecommunications operators, and global technology companies, including esteemed EuroCham member Ericsson Indonesia. Participants shared comprehensive insights and explored cross-sector collaboration opportunities to support the acceleration of 5G deployment and Indonesia’s broader digital economy agenda.
