Published on 22 January 2026

EuroCham Indonesia successfully convened its flagship Indonesia-Europe Investment Summit (IEIS) 2025 on 27 November 2025 at the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta, under the theme: “Building a Mutual and Resilient Indonesia–Europe Partnership for Sustainable Growth.”

Marking a critical post-negotiation phase of the Indonesia–EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EU CEPA) negotiations, IEIS 2025 served as a strategic platform to accelerate value chain integration, sustainable investment, and deepened bilateral economic cooperation between Indonesia and the European Union.

The summit convened high-level government officials, EU member states ambassadors, business executives, and international stakeholders, affirming its role as a central forum shaping the future of Indonesia-EU economic relations. A key milestone of the summit was the official launch of EuroCham’s 2025 Position Papers, produced by its sectoral Working Groups, reinforcing EuroCham’s commitment to fostering resilience, sustainability, and supporting Indonesia’s economic growth.

Ossy Dermawan, Vice Minister for Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Indonesia, at the summit.

Two high-impact panel discussions explored how the I–EU CEPA can unlock sustainable investment flows and drive structural economic growth between Indonesia and Europe by bridging policy, capital, and industry. We would like to thank our speakers — Bapak Edi Prio Pambudi (Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs), Bapak Antonius Annarullah Budiman (Ministry of Trade), Pirmin Riegger (Bosch Indonesia), Hans Joostens (EU Delegation to Indonesia), Bapak Riyatno (Ministry of Investment/BKPM), Nuni Sutyoko (HSBC), and Massimo Geloso Grosso (OECD Jakarta) — as well as our moderators, Carmelo Ferlito (EU Desk at the Ministry of Investment) and Verlyana (Veve) Hitipeuw (Kiroyan Partners), for their insightful contributions during the discussions.

High-level representation from the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Law, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Executive Office of the President underscored the strategic importance of cross-ministerial coordination in facilitating global supply chain integration.
