On April 16th, Dentons HPRP hosted the Data Privacy Update Talk 2026 & Halal Bihalal, convening legal practitioners and industry stakeholders to discuss the evolving data protection landscape in Indonesia. The session focused on strengthening trust through compliance with the Personal Data Protection (PDP) framework in today’s digital environment.

Key discussions underscored the importance of robust governance, regulatory alignment, and proactive risk management in ensuring compliance, while reinforcing stakeholder confidence amid increasing digitalization. The dialogue also highlighted how data privacy is no longer merely a legal obligation but a strategic pillar for sustainable business operations.

The event also served as a meaningful Halal Bihalal gathering, fostering reconnection and collaboration across the professional community. On the 15th of April 2026, the EuroCham Transport & Logistics Sub-Working Group, a part of the Market Access Working Group, held a meeting at the EuroCham office. The meeting discussed BPS Regulation No. 7 of 2025 on Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI). The group discussed the impact of the new KBLI on transport and logistics businesses.
