EuroCham was invited to a coordination meeting on 13 February held by Ali Murtopo Simbolon, Deputy for Commerce and Industry Coordination, of the Coordinating Ministry For Economic Affairs. The coordination discussed the developments in preparation for the Minister of Trade Regulation No. 36 of 2023, which will come into effect on 10 March 2024.

The coordination meeting involved stakeholders including local and foreign business associations/chambers and related government stakeholders namely the Ministry of Industry (represented by the Ikana Yossye Ardianingsih, Head of Legal Bureau, and Kris Sasono Ngudi Wibowo, Secretary of the Directorate General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Textile Industries), Ministry of Trade (represented by Arif Sulistyo, Director of Import), DG of Customs and Excise.

EuroCham Indonesia was represented by Erike Yanidia (Head of the Chemical Working Group), Suryamin Halim (Deputy Head for the Retail Sub-Working Group, part of FMCG), and Daniel Kandou (secretariat)

On the 12th of February, EuroCham Indonesia was honoured to welcome Antoine Ripoll, Minister-Counsellor at EU Delegation to ASEAN - Parliamentary Relations, for a courtesy visit to our office wherein we had an insightful discussion on the challenges and opportunities for increased ties within the region.
