Estonia Maritime Trade Mission 2026 Business Forum and Business Matchmaking Session

On April 28, EuroCham attended the Estonian Maritime Industry Business Trade Mission Forum, co-organized by BI International (an esteemed member of EuroCham) with the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Estonian Embassy in Singapore, Indonesia, and ASEAN.

The mission successfully bridged Estonian maritime innovation with Indonesian market opportunities. The forum was further distinguished by the presence of high-level officials, including H.E. Kuldar Leis, Minister of Infrastructure of Estonia; H.E. Veikko Kala, the Estonian Ambassador-designate to Singapore, Indonesia, and ASEAN; and H.E. Drs. Suntana, M.Si., Vice Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia.

EuroCham extends its sincere gratitude to Bright Indonesia for the kind invitation to this event. EuroCham commends this initiative and remains committed to facilitating dialogues that strengthen EU-Indonesia maritime cooperation.

Chemical Working Group Meeting

On 23 April, the Chemical Working Group convened its regular meeting at the EuroCham office. The session was chaired by the Head of the Working Group, Inezia Aurelia (Head of Regulatory Management & Trade Compliance at Merck Life Science).

Members engaged in a focused discussion on recent developments concerning the mandatory halal certification for chemicals, scheduled to take effect on 17 October 2026. The group also examined updates in Indonesia’s trade policy related to chemical materials, including hazardous substances. In addition, members reviewed ongoing issues and outlined upcoming action plans.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants for their valuable insights and continued support in advancing the Chemical Working Group’s advocacy agenda.
