Event Reports

On January 21, EuroCham was invited to an event held by the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) and the Institute for Economic and Social Research, University of Indonesia (LPEM-FEBUI). The event was held to unveil their policy report titled "Navigating Opportunities: Nurturing Dynamic Economic Policies in Indonesia."

Focusing on seven critical sectors—ICT, Healthcare, Film Entertainment, Travel and Tourism, Trade Facilitation, Energy and Mineral Resources, and Food and Agriculture—the report provides valuable insights and strategic recommendations to support Indonesia's economic growth.

The event brought together officials from various Ministries, business associations, and media representatives. Notable speakers included Brian McFeeters (ret.), USABC’s SVP & Regional MD; Chaikal Nuryakin, Director of LPEM FEB UI; Bapak Susiwijiono Moegiarso, S.E., M.E., Secretary at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (CMEA); and Bapak Heriyanto Irawan, Member of the National Economic Council (DEN).

On January 16, EuroCham members from its Agriculture, Food, and Beverage (AFB) Sub-Working Group, as part of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Working Group, held its first meeting of the year at the EuroCham office.

The meeting was led by the outgoing Head of the AFB Sub-Working Group, Ruly Rachman (Senior Public Affairs Manager at PT Frisian Flag Indonesia), and Deputy Head, Dendy Borman (Corporate Relations Director at Diageo Indonesia). The meeting included a comprehensive recap of key policy updates and regulatory developments in the Agriculture, Food, and Beverage sectors and planning for the group's planned activities, collaboration, and advocacy efforts for the year ahead.

We also warmly welcomed our newly elected leaders:

• Dhedy Adi Nugroho (Head of Public Affairs at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners) as Head of the AFB Sub-Working Group
• Ribut Purwanti (Head of External Affairs at Unilever) as Deputy Head
