Meeting with the Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific of the European External Action Service (EEAS)

On March 13, EuroCham Board Members met with Mr. Niclas Kvarnström, Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific at the European External Action Service, alongside H.E. Denis Chaibi, EU Ambassador to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, and Carsten Sorensen, Head of Trade and Economic Affairs at the EU Delegation to Indonesia. The discussion focused on Indonesia’s business climate, as well as the outlook and expectations for EU-Indonesia trade and political relations.

Led by Executive Director Edison Bako, the EuroCham Board was represented by Vera Galuh Sugijanto (Danone Indonesia), Lucia Karina (Coca-Cola Europacific Partners), and Philippe Augier (Indonesian French Chamber of Commerce and Industry). During the meeting, EuroCham reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a conducive business environment to support Indonesia’s economic growth amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.

HR Working Group Meeting

On March 12, the Human Resources Working Group held its first meeting at the EuroCham Office, led by Samuel Siahaan (Human Resources Business Partner & Head of Industrial Relations at APL Care) and Sylviawati (Country Head of People and Organization at Siemens).

This meeting covered a topic titled “Understanding the Business Impact of Constitutional Court Decision No. 168/2023” invited Pereddi Sihombing (Sub-Coordinator of Legal Advocacy at the Ministry of Manpower), as a guest speaker, and moderated by Stephen Igor Warokka (Partner at SSEK Law Firm), as the Deputy Head of the Working Group. This meeting delved deeper into the implications of Constitutional Court Decision No. 168/2023 for the existing legal landscape. The session is concluded with a Q&A session with all the participants.
