The Automotive Working Group Leaders met with the EU Delegation on 7 April 2026 to discuss market access barriers affecting Indonesia’s automotive sector. Discussions focused on regulatory implementation challenges and the potential impact on industry operations ahead of the June 2026 enforcement timeline.

The meeting also explored possible avenues for government-to-government engagement within the broader Indonesia-EU CEPA framework.

We thank all Automotive Working Group members for their active participation and valuable engagement during the meeting.

On April 2nd, the EuroCham Secretariat attended the Socialization of SETI Industrial Energy Lab Batch II, organized by World Resource Institute and GIZ in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the German Government through the SETI project.

The event aimed to support the implementation of Government Regulation No. 33 of 2023 on Energy Conservation, while providing insights into industrial energy efficiency and capacity-building initiatives under the SETI program. It also served as a platform for stakeholders to exchange perspectives and strengthen collaboration in advancing sustainable energy practices.

We extend our appreciation to the World Resource Institute and all partners for the kind invitation, and we look forward to continued engagement in promoting energy efficiency and sustainability in Indonesia.
