Energy Working Group FDG to Formulate Joint Recommendation
Following the discussion with President‘s Special Envoy for climate change as well as the issuance of Energy Position Paper 2018, EuroCham Energy Working Group was encouraged to have further discussion with other stake holders in order to find joint positions to maximize the impact.
Responding to the suggestion, EuroCham Energy Working Group invite the relevant stakeholders for a group discussion on the formulation of joint position and explore the possibility of a stronger joint position for low hanging fruit and streamlined advocacy on March 19, 2018.
Led by EuroCham Energy Working Group, the meeting was attended by Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), Indonesia Renewable Energy Society (METI), Asian Development Bank (ADB), DANIDA, GIZ, Umbra Law, and President‘s Special Envoy for climate change.
Introductory Meeting with the BPOM's New Deputy
On 15 March 2018, EuroCham Cosmetics Working Group had the privilege to meet with Ms. Maya Gustina Andarini, the newly-appointed Deputy for the Supervision of Traditional Medicine, Health Supplements, and Cosmetics of the National Agency of Drugs and Food Control (BPOM).
The meeting was opened by Mr. Umesh Padke (EuroCham Board Member, L’Oreal Indonesia), to introduce EuroCham and the Cosmetics Working Group at a glance. The introduction continued by Ms. Uti Daniawati Mahanani (Head of Cosmetics Working Group, Unilever Indonesia), with the explanation on Cosmetics working group in more detail.
The meeting also discussed about the proposed activities in 2018, as well as current issues faced by the Working Group. Both EuroCham and BPOM expressed their desire to maintain close relationship and more frequent communication to complement each other in improving the regulatory environment in Indonesia.
